**Volunteer Opportunity: Free Mom Hugs at *Spring Awakening***

Join Free Mom Hugs as we support attendees of *Spring Awakening*, the award-winning musical that explores the challenges of adolescence, identity, sexuality, relationships, mental health, and the consequences of silence and shame. Our role is simple but powerful: to offer a warm, welcoming presence through free hugs (always with consent), high-fives, fist bumps, and words of encouragement to anyone who needs a little extra love and support.
**Content Advisory:** *Spring Awakening* contains mature themes, including discussions and depictions of sexuality, sexual assault, pregnancy, abortion, suicide, child abuse, and death. Volunteers should be aware of the emotional nature of the production and be prepared to interact with patrons who may be impacted by these topics.
As always, remember that every hug begins with consent. Please review the Free Mom Hugs Volunteer Handbook before the event, and be ready to create a safe, affirming, and judgment-free space for everyone we meet.

In Support of Free Mom Hugs
Free Mom Hugs is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works to empower the world to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community through visibility, education and conversation. Born of one Oklahoma mom’s simple act of wearing a homemade Free Mom Hugs button to a Pride festival, today Free Mom Hugs has more than 50,000 volunteers, chapters in all 50 states, and affiliate chapters around the world.
Free Mom Hugs volunteers give hugs and go beyond the hug, too. Our volunteers give hugs at events and other gatherings and further support and affirm LGBTQIA+ individuals through public education and outreach. Free Mom Hugs actively partners with brands, companies and organizations to support our chapters and initiatives including chapter programs, events and education.
All donations are made to Free Mom Hugs, a national nonprofit organization, and may be used to support local, regional, or national programming.
